Matt Pond PA’s Still Summer is their twelfth full-length album and the second Pond released under his dependent label, 131 Records. “It’s not about reliving the past,” says Pond. “It’s about allowing the present to breathe. It’s about holding hands with ghosts and then letting go.”
A companion piece toWinter Lives, released in December 2016 by 131 Records, Still Summer will be the last album Pond releases as Matt Pond PA. Over time, a new track or take will be added to each — this is the never-ending conclusion of Matt Pond PA’s strange musical tour.
